The SelMed Gel cushion uses the latest technology of both foams and gel, with the unique combination of Visco elastic memory foam as the top support surface. The cushion is suitable for patients up to, and including, high/very high risk of developing pressure ulcers.
Constructed in a multi-layered format, the SelMed Gel cushion uses a combination of Visco-elastic and CME foam with a Polyurethane Gel Membrane to provide comfort and support for its user. The high density, temperature-sensitive Visco-elastic memory foam ensures that patient pressures are distributed over the whole seated area, while a cool fluid layer sits underneath, reducing pressure and maximising the protection of the ischial tuberosities area. A resilient CME base provides patient support and increases the longevity of the cushion.
