The scale is column mounted so it is suitable for use in a ward, gym or sports club. This body composition scale was developed in the UK by Marsden in conjunction with Hull York Medical School. The research undertaken has proved that the algorithm used by the Marsden scale is closer to DEXA than body composition scales from other manufacturers. It is a small fraction of the price of its competitors, is backed by robust British research and Class III approved to medical weighing standards and approved under the Medical Devices Directive (MDD).
