Britton Price has extensive experience in working with Universities and has a unique understanding of the specific needs of this type of client.
Most Universities are currently undergoing or planning work around disabled access, and this inevitably includes work on lifts on site. This involves one or more of the following:-
- Complete refurbishment/modernisation of existing lift facilities
- Improving disabled access to current lift facilities
- Increasing the size of existing lifts that are too small
- Installation of new lifts
Britton Price has completed many projects in Universities and our most recent work has been at Hull University where we have completed a number of large projects.

The projects completed for Hull, including Brynmor Jones Library, are run on a Turnkey basis to include builders work, electrical, lift removal, lift installation and servicing contracts. This allows one order to be placed for the lift and associated works and reduces the work load on the facilities/maintenance departments at the University.
