| Lift Refurbishment including Automatic doors for Sheltered Scheme01 May 2009 |
Britton Price have recently completed a modernisation of the lift at St Thomas Court, Brentwood. The lift had been becoming increasingly unreliable and we were also asked to consider the possibility of replacing the heavy manual doors with automatic doors, as access for some of the residents was proving increasingly difficult.
In order to improve reliability the full drive and control systems were replaced and by utilizing the spare space within the lift shaft we were able to change the doors to automatic. All necessary building and electrical works were completed as part of a ‘turnkey’ package managed by Britton Price from beginning to end and the residents are extremely pleased with the end result.
Refurbishments of this nature are subject to a site survey and offer an economical alternative to a complete lift replacement.
