| New Lift Opening Ceremony19 February 2008 |
The residents and staff of Bertha Hollamby Court in Sidcup were joined by Rob Hughes of Chislehurst and Sidcup Housing Association at the official opening ceremony of their new lift.
Mr Ernie Killick cut the ribbon to officially declare the lift ready for use by the residents of the sheltered housing scheme.
The new lift is a 6 person bespoke X-IM hydraulic lift with fully automatic doors, which is 25% bigger than the old lift with manual doors. Installed as part of a Turnkey project including all building, electrical, removal and installation works the whole project was completed within 6 weeks, and the residents were able to use the new permanent stairlifts supplied by our stairlift division for the duration of the works.
