The residents of Solway House Residential Home in Maryport now have a beautiful shiny lift serving the two floors of the home.
To the user, the lift appears to be brand new as the car has changed dramatically and the new controller and drive unit has extended the life of the old lift at a fraction of the cost of replacing it altogether. The lift is now lighter, brighter and gives the residents a smoother ride.
The full refurbishment of the lift included a new controller, drive unit, landing buttons and a full car re-line. The oversized tactile buttons on the control panel and landings are a great help to any visually impaired residents or visitors.
