At Pembroke Court, we were asked to look at the existing 20 year old, 6 person lift. The surveyor had no space to construct a new shaft, the lift was becoming unreliable and residents were unsure about using it.

After considering the options we recommended our XIM borehole lift to be installed in the old shaft with minimal builders work. The new lift was over 40% larger and gave the residents a 9-person lift with fully automatic doors.

The project was run on a turnkey basis including builders, electrical and communication works, along with carpet in-fills on the landings and temporary stair lifts on a rental basis to reduce the impact of the works on the residents.

We have now completed around 200 of these installations for Anchor Trust and completed further lifts for many other Housing Associations around the country.
