B-Elevated is our publication with everything you need to know about lift installation, financing, maintenance and much more!
It is hard to imagine what life would be like without lifts - without them, the very idea of a building above three storeys would be preposterous. After all, how would people be able to get to the top of the Empire State Building in New York without a lift? Before lifts arrived, masonry buildings were built only five or six storeys high. Although buildings could have been built higher than this, fatigue and loss of time caused by stairs reduced the commercial value of higher buildings.
